The Press
The Letter-Kunde Press started under another name back in the third quarter of the last century. It published under the name ‘The Golden Morter’ some ephemera.
After the move to the Letterkundestraat, the press changed it’s name and started with a series of publications for the Vrienden van het museum Plantin Moretus. A book on the Columbia Press and several other publications relating to print history and type foundry soon followed. Recently, the second, largely improved edition of The Columbian Press AT200 has reached completion and is available in our shop.
A complete list of publications is being prepared. All publications are set either with movable type or Intertype. What ever press available at the collection can be used.
